Riding Club

Join the Riding Club today - membership forms can be downloaded from our website and membership is just £20 for the year, This gives you access to exclusive Riding Club Training Evenings, Clinics and Camps. As well as social evenings and points and discounts at competitions throughout the year.

Included in the day will be lectures and riding side saddle, plus the chance for you to ask any questions you may have relating to riding sideways.

BHS Ride Safe Course

Back Lane Stables are pleased to announce they are now able to offer training towards the brand new British Horse Society  (BHS) Ride Safe Award.


Training will be held over a 5 week period with a final assessment been held by the BHS.


This assessment is invaluable not only for those who wish to pursue a career within the equine industry but for anyone who hacks out on a regular basis.


The training dates are:

Monday 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th Feburary 2018 - 18:30 to 20:00


The assessment will be held during the day on Monday 5th March 2018


The cost of the training is £120. An additional fee for the award is payable direct to the BHS.


The course is limited to 16 candidates so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Pony Club

We have a brand new programme in place for 2018, which can be found in a copy of our newsletter (please collect from the office)


As well as the usual lessons, which will be covering all equestrain disciplines. We are happy to announce we are hosting a Lunging and Long Reining Evening on the 8th February - 18:00 to 19:30 - £15 pp

Learn how to look after a pony like it is your own! From grooming to feeding to mucking out. As well as fun lessons throughout the day.


Thursday 15th February - Own a Horse Day

10:30 - 16:00

£50pp to include lunch


Riders will feed, groom, tack up and look after their own horse / pony all day. Before lunch there will be a lecture on looking after your own horse followed by a 2 hour canter hack after lunch - must be at a good canter level.


Friday 16th February - Riding School Championship Qualifier

Commence at 10:30


Cafe open for refreshments


There are five qualifying classes for both dressage and jumping for various age groups. If you are successful at this qualifier, you will need to be available on Wednesday 4th April 2018 to travel to Morton Morrell College, Warwickshire.


James will be available for training following this qualifier.
